What a week this has been. So much that's happened, so much to think about and learn. i feel an essay brewing.

i love being out on city roads early on Sunday mornings. There's always a peace, a stillness, that in an odd way surpasses the peace and stillness of, say, a countryside morning. i think it's got something to do with expectations -- one does not expect to find quiet out on a city street, and so any quiet that one does encounter seems somehow heightened or intensified.

i've never been out on city roads in Singapore on Sunday mornings before. Not early enough, anyway. Now that i know the peace that can be found in doing so, i think i just might wake up earlier on Sunday mornings from now on. Maybe.
