the travel bug

Need. To. Travel. Again.

Just because i've decided to stay in Singapore, doesn't mean i've stopped feeling claustrophobic here, and it definitely doesn't mean that the need to see and discover new things has gone away. i still feel, too much and too often, the smallness of this place. And much as i think it's a price worth paying for the peace and safety of life here, the presence of family and friends, and a government and people who generally have their heads screwed on the right way (at least, we're not going to be voting to commit political and economic suicide as a nation anytime soon...), that smallness still does get to me. i don't think it will ever stop getting to me.

Funny how CH seemed to intuit this the last time we met. Funny how much he seemed to intuit, even after not seeing me for years.

So yes. Need. To. Travel. Need. To. See. Some. Pretty. Temperate. Nature. Mountains. Lakes. Rivers. Need to be thrown into an unfamiliar environment and to feel that thrill of adventure again. i wonder if many people are like this.
