It's funny how something that's happening halfway across the world, in a country that i feel emotionally tied to simply because i'd lived there, and in a sense grown up there, for three years, can have such an impact on me now. Even taking into the very real (mainly economic) consequences that this is going to have on Singapore. This strange sense of loss i'm feeling -- is not (just / primarily) about the economy.
