Almost done with reading Pope Francis's Laudato Si. He's right -- papal infallibility, remember? Haha. But seriously. He is right -- the present environmental crisis basically has its roots in human aspiration taken way beyond any sensible, healthy limits, aspiration turned to greed, which in turn is rooted in a mistaken way of thinking about ourselves and our role in the universe, especially in relation to other created things.

Also reading up on sustainability and the environment in general. It feels good to know what's going on, and what can be done about it. And of course, it's all going to feed into an essay someday. Or, if things work out as i hope, many essays. Eventually. Inshallah.
