This has really been a strange year. A riot in Little India. Right here in placid Singapore. With at least one car burnt and a police car attacked, and people injured, people arrested.

It's surprising, shocking -- and yet at the same time, i don't think i'm really surprised. Something like this has probably been festering for a long time. i just pray that we as a nation will respond to this with wisdom, justice, and compassion.
