coming to terms

So i've felt from the start that this project is something i need to do, have to do... even [Delusions of Grandeur (DoG) moment here...] am called to do. But it's not going to get done if i insist on lyrical transcendence. Ok then. So be it. i won't insist. Let the writing serve the subject, serve the people and the community, rather than the other way round. Let this book be what it wants to, needs to, be.

And if along the way, lyrical transcendence happens, then well and good. If not, i'll settle for truth and beauty. :)
