world enough and time
Time flies when you're having fun. Or so it's said. i can't believe it's already almost the middle of April - almost a third of the year gone already. Time's winged chariot, hurrying near.
Or, as Larkin put it in that devastatingly simple poem, 'Days':
What are days for?
Days are where we live.
They come, they wake us
Time and time over.
They are to be happy in:
Where can we live but days?
Ah, solving that question
Brings the priest and the doctor
In their long coats
Running over the fields.
One of these days, i will read Heidegger's 'Being and Time', and possibly understand it.
i want more time.
"Nothing much to say, i guess,
Just the same as all the rest,
You've been tryin' to throw your arms around the world..."
(U2, Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around the World)
